All is well. You did not come here to fix a broken world. The world is not broken. You came here to live a wonderful life. And if you relax a little and let it all in, you will begin to see the Universe present you with all that you have asked for.

November!
What a hectic month it has been so far! Waking, dressing, feeding, kissing & shuttling both kids to school. Six hours later I fetch both and try to immerse ourselves in nature somewhere to recharge our batteries before coming home for a bath, snacks and more activities that take us well into dinner time. Six hours sound like a good amount of time but it really flies since I spend at least half of it on motherly duties. We managed to get rid of our colds quickly by adding fresh pressed garlic into our soups and have been having cravings for seaweed, gyozas and miso soups. The weather is definitely getting colder.
Today I finally got to soak in a hot bath without anyone to bother me! The last time I tried to do this David was almost two years old and adamant about me getting out as soon as possible, as if I was invading his reserved territory or doing something unthinkable. Impossible really. He would not have any of it. If I had known that motherhood was going to be challenging in so many ways, I would have thought twice, really. Maybe. Because I really enjoy a nice long salt water bath with lavendar essential oil, but it's more than that. I am raising my kids the opposite of how my mother raised me. She would never let her kids get in the way of her indulgences. It's funny how we do some things the opposite of our parents.
The kids are so much work. And you really don't know until you have them, really. Motherhood has to be the hardest and the most rewarding job I have ever had and I dream of the day when I can have a whole day just for myself.
I am waiting for spring..

Startling Facts about the Chemicals in Our Food
1. We now use about 10 lbs. of pesticides per year for every man, woman and child in the U.S.
4. 110 out of 144 communities in Ohio have 4 or more herbicides and insecticides in every glass of water. These chemicals are not removed by water treatment such as chlorination.
5. Endocrine interrupting pesticides can alter the sex of a child during the first 6 weeks of pregnancy. In some cases, causing a person to have traits of the opposite sex.
6. Chemical exposure often causes more problems in children than in the parents who were exposed.
7. A person living in Omaha and drinking city water consumes the maximum amount of atrazine (a spray used on corn fields) in only 2.6 years.
8. Chemicals used to control mosquitoes in the 60's saved 6 million lives from malaria. However, the residue in soil and crops may last for 100 years, and the benefits may not offset the losses in the next decade.
9. Household cleaning solvents and lawncare products are now creating health problems.
10. Four solvents used in plastic food containers volatilize and now appear as residues in over 20% of our food.

2. Humankind is in danger of not being able to reproduce within 50 years; thereby creating the decline in population in unindustrialized nations, which would bring on an economic collapse.
3. Some foods, such as regular peanut butter, average over 10 different pesticides in one sample.
5. Endocrine interrupting pesticides can alter the sex of a child during the first 6 weeks of pregnancy. In some cases, causing a person to have traits of the opposite sex.

My Ego Blocked the Flow
Well I choked it alright; the flow that I was in for such a long time. I almost went ''blind with disbelief'' when I saw the land that I wanted. It was perfect despite its state of ruins and it had even more than what I had been asking for. I wanted it so bad, in my timing, MY way, rather than letting the Universe deliver it to me.
So as of today, I am back to square one. But it isn't over yet. I just have to get back ''in the flow'' again.

The Pioneer Woman
Sometimes I like to visit another persons reality. The Pioneer Woman's reality to be exact. ''Plowing through life in the country, one calf nut at a time.'' I have never heard of anything like this in my life! Ree left L.A. for a life in the parallel universe full of the unknown, only to discover the simpler pleasures of life and started raising a beautiful family away from the hustle and bustle of a cosmopolitan city. Her wild tale of romance and cow manure is a cross between a Harlequin Romance and Green Acres!
She cooks and photographs food in such an alluring way that I am always left feeling full and satisfied, ready for a nap. Maybe because the shots are so detailed and up close, my senses are satiated by the time I get to the last shot where the dish is finalized, like in real life. Maybe I'm eating via osmosis through the wireless technology but because of her, I eat vicariously without putting on any weight!
I identify with many of her yearnings in the earlier years too. How can I not after moving away from all the conveniences I had at my fingertips? Now I don't miss a thing. Well, maybe Trader Joes, the Stash brand chai in the red box, the sesame/honey cashew nuts & maple syrup that used to grace my cupboard for as long as I can remember. Now I make chai from scratch and have replaced maple syrup with raw honey. As for the nuts, I am perfectly happy with the cashews, sesame seeds, and honey not touching each other and being raw.
Thank you Ree for all the hard work in your kitchen.
Here's to you and all your endeavors!!

The Little Things in Life
Then in another pot I discovered purple clovers. I think that is what they are. I have never seen or noticed them before.
My first time cracking open a pine nut, wasn't easy. Yup, ex city girl learns how to eat them freshly shelled. Behind each leaf pulled back exposed 2 hard shells. I had to use a hammer to crack one open and oh how tender and fresh the pine nut was, and the scent of cedar on my fingers! It was a new experience eating them. Anastasia is lucky to have an army of squirrels crack them open for her all the time! I have a new found respect for squirrels now.
And thank you Isaura for bringing me this fresh pine cone today!

Sometimes I Feel Like a Nut
This used to be me before having kids.
I used to enjoy coffee with cream and honey for breakfast until I got pregnant. Then I just didn't enjoy it anymore. Not even the Brazilian blend that came in the red, white and brown packaging that had a robust full body, almost like a very good cabernet sauvignon. I was done with it for good.
my favorite grapes in the world are used to make cabernets..

Hybrid Mom
Are you a hybrid mom?
Hybrid Mom (hy brid mom, n.):
A woman who is guided by an entrepreneurial yearning because she knows that being the type of mom she wants demands it. She has found a way to blend her personal aspirations, as an entrepreneur, consultant, business owner or volunteer, with motherhood in a way that does not compromise her family. A Hybrid mom knows that having it all means creating your dream and making it happen. She is known for her strength, flexibility, dedication, resourcefulness and sense of humor. She uses her skills to create a fusion of roles that satisfy her as an individual and as a mom.
She works. She plays. She lives. She decides.
Thank you Shari!!!

Nanotechnology & The Siberian Glades
I am concerned about next years opening of the University of Nanotechnology MIT in this city. There are already over 800 consumer products made with nanomaterials (those manufactured at the scale of atoms and molecules) and not even the world's leading nanoscientists knows what nanoparticles do inside the body or in the environment!
Here's an excerpt from the Organic Consumers Association:
'Nanotechnology, a fast-growing global industry, is essentially unregulated. Advocates and independent scientists agree that we need to get ahead of the risks before it's too late. Some call for a moratorium on the riskiest nanoproducts. Some say we just need more research, and more protection for workers in the meantime. All are worried about unleashing a powerful new technology that could have vast unintended consquences. Nanomaterials are in food, cosmetics, clothing, toys and scores of other everyday products. Yet when it comes to trying to get a handle on them, we can't answer the most basic questions. What companies are using nanomaterials, and where? What kinds, and in what amounts? How much of the potentially hazardous stuff is escaping into the air, water and soil? Into our food and drinks? Nobody knows.
"You're producing a personal cloud of exposure," Paul Lioy warned. "Every time you breathe. Every time you move. If the materials you're wearing have [nano]materials that can be released, they will be released. It's basically the Pig-Pen effect.
Great!
Information like this make me want to run deeper in the woods & never look back. Maybe relocating to the Siberian glades is not a bad idea after all.
No More Nature?!? Then No More Cafés!!!
It's suppose to rain all week and my kids have had it, hanging out at various cafes while mother in law chit chats with her friends. On the other hand, my in laws are nauseated with the idea of going into nature for the rest of this year!
Everyday, either I or my kids ask to go to what I call a squirrel's paradise which is only a 10 min. drive from their flat. When I finally move into that certain piece of land, I will be jogging or hiking up to this place and spend some hours being at one with nature. Then I might stop by the cafe outdoors or inside one of the hotels for a drink (other than the natural spring water that flows freely) and lose myself in a nice book. Speaking of books, The Ringing Cedars Series is a must for the entire population on this planet. It's amazing how much of it I have retained and my mind is exploding with more ideas and plans for the near future.
I now think it's ideal to take the alpha train down south on the weekends to see up to 3 clients per weekend. It will also be a perfect escape from my kids and their never ending demands and I will get to see some friends and let my mouth hemorrhage with the English language since I don't get to speak it anymore in the north except with my kids.
I am blessed to have so many clients call upon me to do their family portraits. Every time I do a shoot I get a chance to record a moment in their lives for them to share with their loved ones, and to pass on to future generations. I have yet to update my little site though. With so many beautiful templates out there I cannot choose just one. But simple is best, so maybe I won't change a thing.

My Parents
This is a picture I received from my parents before my first son was born. I only get to see them maybe once a year because they are always busy with their lives and plans in other continents. My mother is finally somewhat of a ''stay at home wife'', and my father started a new career after retiring at age 65. He is 71 now and still practices English horseback riding on the weekends and during the week I hear he wakes up at 4 to start the morning workout exercises before heading off to work. He has been eating mostly raw as far as I can remember and I always admired his disciplined way of life even though we hardly spoke. Our relationship was always formal and I grew up being afraid of him most of the time. Now our infrequent conversations consist of topics like his republican stance, the current society, his beliefs, and brief moments back in time when I was a child. By the way, does anyone have a father that got Botox to remove wrinkles on the forehead? Anyone?!?!? Besides me?!?!? Didn't think so.
We were estranged for so many years, mostly due to my being the ''black sheep'' of the family but after my first born, the reconciliation process started. I talk to my mother through skype on most days and it took 3 years to be able to dig into deep conversation and build some form of a mother-daughter relationship. She mainly focuses on chit chatting with my sons and going into deep thought by herself as if she is watching a documentary online. I would guess that our web cam replaces one of her soap operas. We are like oil and vinegar. And when we laugh about something, I would say we are equivalent to the oil and vinegar that is well shaken followed by the separation soon after.
Even now she is still a bit of a stranger to me and I suffer in my heart because we missed out on so many aspects in each others lives but I am grateful that I have contact with her now. Now is all we have anyways, right?

Our General Diet
Photo: Unknown
I started giving my kids up to a 90% raw diet and I see such a big difference in their energy levels and appearance. They are vibrant and bubbly - happy go lucky everyday. Energizer bunnies are no match to their robust staminas. I do add more cooked foods for lunch for the little one so that he naps in the afternoons or else I go bonkers by the end of the day. Spinach, mango or banana & berry smoothie with a fresh piece of aloe vera; whole grain toast with organic butter or oatmeal with cinnamon and raw honey. Organic pastas are cooked but the sauce isn't & 'hamburgers' made out of ground walnuts or soaked sunflower seeds, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, celtic sea salt & organic herbs.
I also give them free range egg yolks sunny side up and once in a while organic milk or yogurt. I don't worry about their calcium intake since they get a liberal amount through fresh greens and sesame seeds that I sprinkle in a lot of their meals. This way of eating totally takes away their sweet tooth and I give them ''junk food'' only on weekends, letting them have as much as they want but they stop after a few pieces so that makes me very happy. I can't believe I am doing all this because I always ate at restaurants before I settled down and had kids.
And I finally let go of the expensive Shiseido and Chanel products and use organic virgin coconut oil to moisturize and I am just as pleased with the results. If only I had known this before, I could have saved some serious money that was spent on vanity purposes the last 20 years! And we get enough vitamin D because we are out in the sun without sunscreen in the mornings or afternoons for at least an hour or more and we haven't been sick for about a year or longer.

The film Zeitgeist Addendum (part 2 of Zeitgeist) has a step-by-step process:
1. Boycott Citibank, JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America, the most powerful controllers in the corrupt Federal Reserve System. Expose the banking fraud. Move your money, credit cards or mortgages to other banks. If you own stock in them, sell it. If you work for them, quit. This gesture will express contempt for the powers behind the private banking cartel known as the Federal Reserve, and it will create awareness about the fraud of the banking system itself.
2. Boycott the news networks (CNN, ABC, NBC, Fox, etc.) and visit the emerging independent news agencies on the internet for your information. With four corporations owning all the news media outlets, objective information is impossible. The true beauty of the internet is that the establishment has been losing control because of this free flow of information. We must protect the internet at all times, as it is truly our savior right now.
3. Boycott the military. Don’t ever allow yourself, your family, or anyone you know to join the military. This is an obsolete institution now used exclusively for maintaining an establishment that is no longer relevant. US soldiers work for US corporations, not the people. Propaganda forces us to believe that war is natural and the military is an honorable institution. Well, if war is natural, why are there eighteen suicides every day by veterans who have post-traumatic stress disorder? If our military men and women are so honored, why is it that twenty-five percent of the American homeless population are veterans?
4. Boycott the energy corporations. If you live in a detached house, get off the grid. Investigate every means of making your home self-sustainable with clean energy. Solar, wind and other renewable energies are now affordable consumer realities. Considering the never-ending rising cost of traditional energies, it will likely be a cheaper investment over time. If you drive, get the smallest car you can and consider using one of the many conversion technologies that can enable your car to be a hybrid, electric, or run on anything other than establishment fuels.
5. Reject the political system. The illusion of democracy is an insult to our intelligence. In a monetary system, there is no such thing as a true democracy, and there never was. We have two political parties owned by the same set of corporate lobbyists. They are placed in their positions by the corporations, with popularity artificially projected by their media. In a system of inherent corruption, the change of personnel every couple of years has very little relevance. Instead of pretending that the political game has any true meaning, focus your energy on how to transcend this failed system.
6. Create critical mass. Join the movement. Go to our website and help us create the largest mass movement for social change the world has ever seen. We must mobilize and educate everyone about the inherent corruption of our current world system, along with the only true sustainable solution declaring all the natural resources on the planet as common heritage to all people, while informing everyone as to the true state of technology, and how we can all be free if the world works together rather than fights.
“The choice lies with you. You can continue to be a slave to the financial system and watch the continuous wars, depression, and injustice across the globe, while placating yourself with vain entertainment and materialistic garbage. Or, you can focus your energy on true, meaningful, lasting, holistic change, which actually has the realistic ability to support and free all humans, with no one left behind.
“But, in the end, the most relevant change must occur inside you. The real revolution is the revolution of consciousness. Each one of us first needs to eliminate the divisionary, materialistic noise we have been conditioned to think is true, while discovering, amplifying and aligning with the signal coming from our true, empirical oneness. It is up to you.”
